OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

DOESN’T IGNITE

When an electric stove does not ignite, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the appliance is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit in the oven, then another part will need to be replaced. The cause of the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN DOESN’T HEAT

A burner or stove that doesn’t heat will not do much good. Your oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner will not fire up if an element breaks or the burner switch or the terminal block don’t work. We are able to repair these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It is safe to assume the control board on a stove is broken if the program or timer settings do not work. In this case, we are able to replace control panels for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on control panels and the replacement parts we need for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it could be because of an issue with the thermostat or sensor. Our appliance technicians know how to diagnose the reason for the problem and then repair it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of body burns from the high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is that an igniter will glow but it will not light. The reason this occurs is from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We will determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens are known to experience door problems. The door won’t open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door latch, thermostat and seal to find out why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the repair so we can correct the problem.
